My baby is one month old! I can't believe it. He still is the sweetest thing and he still keeps getting cuter and cuter!
Seriously his smile melts our hearts, so sweet. He is smiling more and more, only in the mornings though when you squish his cheeks. He loves it. Can't wait until he is smiling all of the time.
{1 month old}
Bridger here is a little info on your first month- You are such a good baby! The only time you give us trouble is at night around 8 or 9 we have had a few night car rides. You crazy little thing fight sleep and I wish you wouldn't, you get so upset and frustrated. You love your arms free up by your face when you sleep but you can't sleep unless you are swaddled.
- You are so happy in the mornings. We love seeing your sweet smile, you love your cheeks squished. You also love when we talk to you.
- You love your binky and I love that you do, sometimes it is the only thing that calms you down. {I am glad you love it now but I know I wont when it comes time to break you of it. Thank goodness we have a year before that needs to happen}
- You are a nice solid little man, you eat 4oz but you don't really eat in the mornings you tend to not get hungry and just want to lay awake and then sleep. You can go from 6am to about 12pm with out eating after that you eat about every 2-3 hours.
- We are workings a getting you into a night schedule and the most you have slept at night is about 5 hours but you usually sleep 3-4 hours at a time at night. Hopefully by 2 months you will be sleeping through the night. You usually go to bed at 9 and wake up to be fed between 1-2 am.
- You love baths, you love the warm water!
- You have recently discovered your tongue and love to stick it out over and over. You are such a little lizard.
- You love being outside, you are so calm. We have started taking you on walks and you love it. You love being pushed in your stroller.
No more newborn Bridger.
{Clubfoot}
Bridger was born with clubfoot on his left foot. I had never heard of it before but it has to do with genetics/how is was positioned in the womb. They don't really know how or why or what causes it. The good news is they no exactly what to do to fix it.
I never got a picture of it but you can kind of see it here. See how his foot turns in.
For the next 6 weeks we will take Bridger in once a week to get casted. He gets a new cast each week and each week they turn his foot 20 degrees until it is straight. After the 6 weeks they do a in-office procedure and cut his achilles tendon. The reason they cut it is because it is too short which is part of what causes the clubfoot. Then he is in another cast for 2 weeks while the tendon heals. Once it is healed is has to wear a brace 23 hours a day for 3 months and then after that he only has to wear it at night for 3 years. So it is quite the process.
I am glad it is all mostly stretching which doesn't hurt at all for the little man.
He totally rocks his cast. I covered it with baby legs to give it some style. I only have one pair so I have ordered some more baby legs in like every color.
Little man was not too happy in these pictures. He was mad we woke him up to undress him
Heres to a great weekend. . .
{Happy Saturday}
