A {late} Christmas Post

Our first Christmas as a family has come and gone, and it was by far the best Christmas I have had. I am pretty sure I wanted to wake Bridger up at 5am to open presents. I was very excited.

He wasn't sure what to think.

Someone figured out how to take ornaments off the tree.

Little man got spoiled by his Grandma and Grandpa Ruller. Needless to say I think he loves being on top of that thing. He looks so big!

It was a very long day. Poor Bridger only got about two 20 minute naps through out the whole day. He was such a good baby and only got ornery once we were finally home at 10pm. But we just had to get a family picture.

Christmas was amazing! Loved spending it with our little familly.

December Festivities

 I figured I better get one last blog post in since the world is going to end on Friday. I know it really is not going to end  but there is still that one little fear that I know that every one has that maybe, just maybe the world could end. I may be a little nervous.
As for this blog post, it seems like so much has happened since my last one. I have kind of been slacking but mostly just busy with life and taking care of a crazy little one. I have really tried to give Bridger my full attention when he is awake. Like I try not to be on the computer or watch T.V. and I try to not even clean the house until he is down for a nap or to bed at night. I just feel like he is my main priority and everything else can wait. The only time I clean or blog or watch T.V. when he is awake is if Aaron is taking care of him or vica versa. I feel better when I devote my self to him, I know I need "me" time but I also know that it can wait until he has his daddy to take care of him or if he is asleep. Plus he is the cutest thing why wouldn't I want to spend all of my time with him!
Bridger is a fan of {Baby Mozart} and {Baby Bach} those are the only shows that capture his attention for almost the whole time.
I love watching him watch T.V. he gets so zoned in to it. So I take pictures. . .
 . . .  and sometimes I get caught
Sometimes I die at how cute he is!
Here is our 12-12-12 picture taken at 12:12pm. How could we not take a picture it will never happen again at least not in my lifetime.
This is what most of my mornings look like. Out numbered 3 to 1.
{Christmas Festivities} Gardner Village
This was our first year visiting the elves at Garner Village. We always go see the witches at Halloween and now we will always go see the elves. They are so cute.
Bridger enjoyed them too, he blended right in :)

Aaron's dad is finally done with his nursing program!! It is very exciting. It was fun to see him walk and graduate. Congrats Mike on all of your hard work!!
{Christmas Festivities} Temple Square and City Creek
Oh how I love Christmas time, especially now having Bridger it just makes it that much more fun. I get so much more excited to do things now.
mmmm we spoiled ourselves with The Cheesecakes Factory, um how could we not?! and Bridger sat in a high chair for the very first time and he absolutely loved it. I have a feeling he felt so big to be sitting at the table right next to mom and dad. He was so excited.

I loved the red lights

 {Christmas Festivities} Ugly Sweater Family Christmas Party
It was our first Ugly Sweater party and it was so fun. We had a good time shopping for them. Bridger was lucky to be in cute, cozy Christmas jammies.
Bridger loves his first Christmas present of the season

 You are never to old for photobooth
Phone Dump:

{On a more somber note}
 I love our little family and in saying that my heart breaks for all of those families in Connecticut. Tears come to my eyes anytime I hear about it. I can not even imagine Christmas morning for those families and the unopened presents that will sit under the tree. How does a parent go on with life after losing their child. It blows my mind at the crazy evil that is in this world. It is bad enough that mass shootings have happened at colleges and movie theatres and temples but for one of the biggest to happen at an elementary school full of innocent children who have their whole lives ahead of them, it just makes me sick to my stomach. It seriously breaks my heart. I pray that this does not happen again.
I usually don't blog about things like this and I am not one to open up but how can you not on this situation. Now being a mama you worry so much more and I have so much stronger opinions on things. I will say I am grateful to know that those precious children and brave teachers are in a much better place and that their families will see them again. Thoughts and prayers for Connecticut.

5 Months and some updates

This year has gone so fast, I really can't beieve it is December. So much to report.
I am in love with December and all of the festivities it will bring. I am so excited for Bridger's first Christmas, I keep saying we are done buying Christmas for him but his pile seems to keep getting bigger and bigger.
It really seems like so much has happened since last post so prepare for a long one...
{5 Months Old}
Our little man is 5 months old!! I am not going to say "I can't believe it" and "Where does time go?" because I am pretty sure I say that every other post. He really is getting so big and growing up. Bridger does new things each day and it blows my mind at how smart he is getting. We are loving this stage, he is such a funny baby and he is quite the entertainment!

Happenings for the 5th month:
  • Bridger likes loves to fake cough. I die when he does it. He will do it until he gets a response out of us. This is no little baby cough, he really gets into it.
  • Bridger has started to notice Burrows and it is the best. He puts his hand out now and will touch him or when he is eating he will put his hand out to Burrows and Bridger usually has food on his hands so Burrows thinks he is giving him a free lick. Those little stinks are already teaming up.
  • Bridger loves rolling over. The second he is laid down it literally take two seconds for him to be on his tummy. Next step is for him to learn how to roll back over. He gets so mad when he is on his tummy to long so I flip him to his back and with in seconds he is back on his tummy.
  • Bridger now realizes what he bottle is. If he sees you have it and you put it down to pick him up and are just holding it and he can see it and you are not giving it to him, he FREAKS out. That is seriously an understatement he literally screams with anger. Little man knows what he wants.
  • Bridger can sit up by himself now! Not for a long time but he can do it. He is getting better and better at it and sitting up longer and longer. I was one proud mama!
  • We have discovered we have a thumb sucker. Bridger sucks on his thumb all of the time. Bridger sucks and put everything in his mouth but more and more it is his little thumb.
  • Bridger sleeps with his legs up in the air. I don't know if it is because of his brace or what but it is pretty much every night and most of the time when I put them down he will just put them back up. Crazy kid.
  • Bridger loves sucking on his bottom lip. I die because it is so cute. Lately he just loves it.
  • I love handing things to Bridger like his toys and stuff because I love now that he can reach out and grab things. He is a pro. Just hand it to him so he can reach it and he will just grab it right our of your hands.
  • We have a little screamer. He talks and he screams and he laughs and he screams. I swear he just loves to hear himself. Lately instead of laughing when you tickle him he just screams. He is so loud for such a little baby.
So much has changed since little man turned 4 months old. I feel like he is so much older now. He does so much more "older" things like sitting up and eating cereal. I love watching him grow but still makes me a little sad. We adore our little man and are so excited to see what the next month brings. Loved our 5 month Christmas photo shoot. . .

Here is little man sitting up all by himself for the first time. I was so excited. It was only for about 30 seconds but he rocked that 30 seconds!
I love his little giggles
Cutest little lip sucker.
 {Santa}
Oh how I have looked forward to this! I was so excited for Bridger to sit on Santa's lap. He was just the cutest curious little thing. I was so expecting him to pout out his little lip and start to cry but no way. Little man just stared at Santa and grabbed his beard. He wouldn't smile and he didn't cry. He would just stared. It was the cutest thing.
{Festival of Trees}
 I seriously love December and the holidays and I love it even more now that we have Bridger to share it with. Having him totally amps up holiday festivities

This year I like the gingerbread house more than the trees. So creative.

This is what I am talking about. I am lucky to get his diaper on after his tubby time. Sometimes he just can't wait to get on his tummy.
Here is our little thumb sucker
 Here we are legs up in the air and pretty much laying on his face. I do not see how this is comfortable?!
Seriously I die! He is the sweetest!
On a totally different note. Aaron finally shot his first deer. He was seriously so stoked and for good reason he isn't a bad looking deer. Ryan and Aaron have nicknamed him Uno because of his one sided antlers.
I don't mind him shooting animals as long as they don't bring the dead carcases into the house. Thankfully this big boy is at the processing plant being turned into delicious jerky.

Now to leave you with some Christmas cheer...
So excited for the holiday festivites to come!
