Turner Life

Well well, August is almost gone! I can't believe it but at the same time I am so ready for September and to start enjoying Fall. I really do hope it is right around the corner I don't know how much longer we can take 90+ degree weather.
Life is still going great. School just started and it will be nice for Aaron to be doing that full time. We have a few years of schooling left and I can't wait for the end but I mine as well get used to it for now. How come when you are older you understand and see that your parents were right and they did know what they were talking about. Like when they said "Go to school now while you live at home and you don't have to pay rent or any other major responsibilities" It was something like that but of course we didn't listen. :) It is not hard going to school I guess it just is not as easy and we can't wait for it to be over.
{The Weight Loss Journey}
I tell you getting back into working out is the hardest thing at first, no matter how motivated you are. But we are getting there. We have a gym pass again and getting back into the groove. I swear though it is a lot harder to find the energy and time with a little one. But I have to keep telling myself NO EXCUSES! It sucks I still crave sugar but I think I have found a "Healthy Treat" {if there is such thing} to help. You can find it here, they are really good cookies and only 45 calories for 1. HELLO! I love that website, we have adopted so many of those recipes and love them. We are eating as clean as we can and I defiantly can tell a difference in how I feel with the food I put in my body now I just need to start seeing a difference. Please Oh Please! I need to start seeing it!
Here is our start to a healthy life style of {Eating Clean}
{Blankies}
Little man defiantly loves his blankies and he HAS to have them when he is sleeping especially in the car. I love it. I love how he snuggles up to it.
{My Studs}
Does it get cuter that this?!
{Burrows}
Poor Burrows get so left out these days. We still give him attention just not as much as we did when we were kid less. Which I know it is how it should be but I feel so bad sometimes. He still is the cutest little lion though and I think it has made him even more lazy than he was. LOL. Just take a look we find him like this all of the time.

{JDRF}
We did a walk for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. {Aaron has  Juvenile Diabetes , aka Type 1 Diabetes} It was a lot of fun but next year we will be a lot more organized about it. As in we will have rockin shirts for our team and we will raise a lot more money for the research and just be more organised about it. We really enjoyed it, I don't think we knew what to expect.
Little man loved it, he loved being pushed in his stroller. He did so good and just hung out.

{Aaron's Crew}
So grateful for everyone who came and walked for Aaron. We are so blessed with awesome family!

Thank you everyone who came and walked. It was such a blast. Can't wait for next year.

Now it is no secret we love our little man, he is the cutest thing ever and we love that smile of his. We also love taking pictures with him. Thank heavens for webcams :)

Love our cute family of 3

Happenings

We are still loving life as parents. I don't know what we would do with our time with out a baby. I swear we are going 24/7 it feels like. Also I understand now why it is so easy just to stay home. It is such a process to go out. We love to go out though and show off our cute baby :)
We are still in our honeymoon stage with our little man. I will admit, I think the lack of sleep is starting to catch up with us just a little bit. But I think we are in the home stretch of that. Fingers crossed sleeping through the night is right around the corner. Last night Bridger slept 7 1/2 hours straight and then slept another 4 hours. Fingers crossed, fingers crossed!
At first Bridger hated his car seat and if he goes in it upset he still does but for the most part he loves riding in the car. He either just hangs out or zonks out. What a stud.
{Bridger's Foot}
After just one cast there is such a difference.
Obviously, his foot is still turned in but it looks so much better. Bridger is on his 2nd cast and is doing great. Can't wait to see how much his foot will change this week.
{Bridger's Hair}
Bridger's hair kills me it has a mind of its own. Lucky kid got my hair line and my lovely cow-licks. Good thing they look cute on him. The first thing people say to us is "Look at all of that hair" and "He has hair just like his daddy" He defiantly is rocking his daddy's hair do. His hair is his trade mark. We have had so many strangers come up and comment on it. Everyone seems to love it.
This is how it is styled. After his bath each night I pretty much comb everything forward and over. and it is slicked down to his head. . .
. . .and when he wakes up it looks like this. We never even put product in it. It has just the right amount of poof.
I love our little mans hair. I really, really, REALLY hope he does not loose it!
{Mommy and Bridger Time}
Bridger has such a personality already
Hanging out watching the Olympic Closing Ceremonies. {Loved seeing the Spice Girls}

{Daybreak Walk}
Bridger LOVES being outside. He loves going for walks. I just wish we could go on more. It is so hot outside that we cant really go out a lot. {P.S. I am so ready for a fall cool down}
{Daybreak Beach}
{My Twins}
{Our Little Family}
{P.S. I wish I would of got ready. Looking a little homely!}
Little man loves watching TV. He will just hang out and watch TV with us, usually only if we are holding him facing out. He just chills and relaxes and watches.
I love our little mans faces. He is so funny in the mornings. Right when he wakes up he is ornery for about 10 min and then he is the happiest little baby.
Love this picture. . . he is so funny

One Month

My baby is one month old! I can't believe it. He still is the sweetest thing and he still keeps getting cuter and cuter!
Seriously his smile melts our hearts, so sweet. He is smiling more and more, only in the mornings though when you squish his cheeks. He loves it. Can't wait until he is smiling all of the time.
{1 month old}
Bridger here is a little info on your first month

  • You are such a good baby! The only time you give us trouble is at night around 8 or 9 we have had a few night car rides. You crazy little thing fight sleep and I wish you wouldn't, you get so upset and frustrated. You love your arms free up by your face when you sleep but you can't sleep unless you are swaddled.
  • You are so happy in the mornings. We love seeing your sweet smile, you love your cheeks squished. You also love when we talk to you.
  • You love your binky and I love that you do, sometimes it is the only thing that calms you down. {I am glad you love it now but I know I wont when it comes time to break you of it. Thank goodness we have a year before that needs to happen}
  • You are a nice solid little man, you eat 4oz but you don't really eat in the mornings you tend to not get hungry and just want to lay awake and then sleep. You can go from 6am to about 12pm with out eating after that you eat about every 2-3 hours.
  • We are workings a getting you into a night schedule and the most you have slept at night is about 5 hours but you usually sleep 3-4 hours at a time at night. Hopefully by 2 months you will be sleeping through the night. You usually go to bed at 9 and wake up to be fed between 1-2 am.
  • You love baths, you love the warm water!
  • You have recently discovered your tongue and love to stick it out over and over. You are such a little lizard.
  • You love being outside, you are so calm. We have started taking you on walks and you love it. You love being pushed in your stroller.

Here is proof Bridger is growing. Love seeing how big he is getting but makes me so sad as well.
No more newborn Bridger.

{Clubfoot}
Bridger was born with clubfoot on his left foot. I had never heard of it before but it has to do with genetics/how is was positioned in the womb. They don't really know how or why or what causes it. The good news is they no exactly what to do to fix it.
I never got a picture of it but you can kind of see it here. See how his foot turns in.
For the next 6 weeks we will take Bridger in once a week to get casted. He gets a new cast each week and each week they turn his foot 20 degrees until it is straight. After the 6 weeks they do a in-office procedure and cut his achilles tendon. The reason they cut it is because it is too short which is part of what causes the clubfoot. Then he is in another cast for 2 weeks while the tendon heals. Once it is healed is has to wear a brace 23 hours a day for 3 months and then after that he only has to wear it at night for 3 years. So it is quite the process.
I am glad it is all mostly stretching which doesn't hurt at all for the little man.
He totally rocks his cast. I covered it with baby legs to give it some style. I only have one pair so I have ordered some more baby legs in like every color.

Little man was not too happy in these pictures. He was mad we woke him up to undress him
Heres to a great weekend. . .

{Happy Saturday}
