I have made it!! I am half way there. I can now start counting down. So excited, even though June 25th still sounds like forever away I can at least start counting down!

How Far Along? 20 Weeks

Maternity Clothes? Yes, I love maternity pants! Still wearing normal shirts and a lot of comfy clothes

Sleep: Has been really good this week. I still wake up to pee at least twice but I fall right back into a deep sleep. I can also take a nap at least once a day.

Best moment this week: Sleeping a lot better and just having a good weekend with Aaron.

Miss Anything? Nope not really I have gotten used to life "with child" :)

Symptoms: I get a major headache every night it seems like and other than peeing all of the time I am pretty much the same. Oh and I still do get nauseous every once in a while.

Movement: Not sure? I swear I have felt little bubbles hear and there but still am kind of not sure. So ready to start feeling baby a lot more. I want to feel some little kicks already!

Food cravings: I have been loving orange creamsickles and Lime Rickies from Article Circle

Anything making you queasy or sick: I still hate eggs and chicken and anything potato.

Have you started to show yet: Yes and I am loving having a little baby bump!

Gender: Boy

Labor Signs: No

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding ring on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: I am not near as moody. My hormones seem to be a lot more calm.

Looking forward to: We have an another ultrasound on Valentines Day. Also I am excited to eat wedding cake again! Can't believe our 1 year anniversary is on Friday.

Weekend

I feel like we had our fair share of life this weekend. We had the very extremes, we were so lucky to spend time with Aaron's grandpa on his birthday and so blessed to witness Baby Beckham's first couple days of his life.
Aaron's grandpa celebrated his 77th birthday on Saturday. It was truly so good to see him, I know Aaron was so happy to see him. Unfortunately he is in a rest home because he has the terrible disease of Alzheimer's. We have not seen him for a while and this was our first time visiting him at the rest home. We were a little nervous at first but just because we did not know what to expect. We had no reason to be, he did not say much but you could tell that he was so happy to have all of his family around him, which was so good to see. He was smiling and just enjoying everyone being there with him. It was good to see him and it was good for Aaron to see him and to spend some time with him.
Baby Beckham
It is crazy to think that Aaron's grandpa has experienced most of his life and has learned so much and has created a family all they way down to great grandchildren and then there is sweet Baby Beckham who has his whole life ahead of him and so much to learn and so much to experience.
He is so sweet, it is so precious snuggling him. we only live like 5 min away from the hospital so you can bet we were there everyday snuggling and loving him.
His arrival defiantly got us so, so, so excited for our little one to get here. It also got us a little tiny bit nervous as well. :) You don't remember how tiny newborns are until you hold one.

He really is so sweet and precious. He opened his big baby eyes for us. MMMM newborns are so delicious. Seriously I can't believe we have to wait until June for ours to arrive.

Congrats Ryan and Carlee, he is a little stud.

Change

Well hello and I am back. I swear being pregnant makes me blogger incapable or something. I defiantly need to get back on track. So much has happened along with this new year. I just have to say 2012 is going to be a fabulous year! It will be very life changing. I thought getting married was big but having this baby is huge and there is no going back! But I would never ever want to! All this big change is wonderful. We are so so very excited to become parents!!
We had the excitement of moving the first week in January. Moving is not the most fun thing to do, but we did it. I couldn't lift much but it was fun setting up the new apartment and finally having a 2nd room to start envisioning the nursery. Oh I can't wait.
Another change was with Burrows. He finally got groomed and we decided to give him a "lion cut". I don't know what took us so long to cut his fur. I love that there is no more cat hair every where! Oh and it makes me feel so much better with the baby coming that we wont have to worry about cat hair getting on bottles and binkies. That totally grosses me out but thank goodness we don't have to worry about it.

We also found out the BEST news this week. We finally found out the gender of Baby Turner! We are so thrilled to announce that Baby Tuner is going to be a handsome baby BOY!! We are so in love with him already.

It was kind of hard to miss :)

We are so excited! He is so spoiled already we went out and bought him so much clothes. He is going to be a little stud I am so in love with his clothes. I can't wait to dress him. Buying baby stuff is so addicting it is more addicting than buying clothes for me.

17 Weeks

I almost half way there and finally starting to look pregnant.

How Far Along? 17 weeks

Maternity Clothes? Still just wearing maternity pants, wearing normal clothes everywhere else. I love being comfortable. Sports bras are also my new best friend.

Sleep: Sleep is alright. I wake up at least twice to pee, but usually go right back to bed.

Best moment this week: When we found out Baby’s gender! Seeing baby on the ultrasound and finding out baby is nice and healthy.
Miss Anything? Not really, except tanning.

Movement: Not yet but should be any day now.

Food cravings: I love spicy foods, like peppers MMMM. I also love hard and chewy candy. Also I can’t seem to get enough of ice cold water.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing in particular, if it doesn't sound good at the moment than yuck keep it away from me or I will start gagging.

Have you started to show yet: I would say yes, especially after I eat a big meal.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Both I am not so moody as much but still do get moody. It is not that I am not happy because trust me I am. I am just mostly sensitive.

Looking forward to: Feeling the baby move and I can’t wait to get all of the baby stuff I have started to order. Also starting on the nursery is going to be so much fun

Holiday Season

Well hello and yes, we are still alive!! Talk about slacking in the blogging world! Well I am back and there should be no more of that. Can I just say I can not believe Christmas is in 4 days! Where has the time gone 2011 is almost over. We have enjoyed our first holiday season married. So much fun!

Thanksgiving

It seems we will be needing to hang 3 stockings up for Christmas from now on. . . .

I am currently 13 weeks. Baby's due date is June 25th 2012
We are so excited!

Pregnancy has been an adventure. At first I thought I was going to luck out and not get nauseous at all, but I spoke to soon. It has not been that bad, considering. Now being in my second trimester I am hoping it will die down.
Aaron has been so great. I haven't had to touch a dirty dish or the garbage since we found out. He is a trooper. He puts up with my wonderful mood swings. And yes there has been some. Lately I am super emotional and cry over about anything. He is sweet and handles it. He is a wonderful hubby. I don't know what I would do with out him.

How Far Along? 13 Weeks

Maternity Clothes? Finally bought some maternity pants and they are amazing. Way super cute. Love Forever 21 Maternity clothes. Also wearing leggings and yoga pants.

Sleep: Wake up at least 3 times a night still, even tried taking Benadryl and still wake up.

Best moment this week: Love getting ready for Christmas. So excited for our first Christmas married, it will be our first and last Christmas married without children. I also started showing a bit this week.

Miss Anything? I am missing Sushi, I crave it all of the time. Also I am having tanning withdrawals. I have not been this white for so long.

Movement: Not yet

Food cravings: I love ranch sunflower seeds, sour patch kids, bagels with cream cheese and tomatoes and mozzarella

Anything making you queasy or sick: I can’t eat any form of potatoes,{except salt and vinegar potato chips} I can’t handle chicken or eggs. Yuck the smell about kills me.

Have you started to show yet: Finally yes, just a little bit. If you didn’t know I was pregnant you would just think I have had one to many donuts.

Gender prediction: 60% girl 40% boy. The suspense is killing us!

Happy or Moody most of the time: Moody a lot more than happy, but getting happier more and more. Aaron is sweet and puts up with me.

Halloween is the best! I love it. It is the like the kick off holiday to the holiday season. Halloween is so much fun, what is not love about a holiday based off candy!
We had a fun little Halloween/Birthday party with the Turner clan Saturday night. MMM soup and bread bowls, little smokies, Costco chocolate cake. It is always fun when the family gets together. The Smith Family were even able to come via Skype.

What is up with the Turners? Sadly not much. Aaron and I have not been up to anything really. Just going along with life I guess and all of its adventures. Even if they most adventuress it gets is snuggling on the couch watching TV.
We did however stay entertained for about an hour, thanks to the wonderful Dollar Store. Once again one of my favorites! They had a balloon making kit, and of course we bought it and of course the first thing I did when we got home was look on YouTube, "animal balloons". It took 10 balloons before we got anywhere but by golly, there was animals that were created.

First Taste of Fall

My oh my Fall is defiantly here, and I am loving it! For the last 5 days it has been raining and snowing. It is our first taste of Fall.
We haven't bee up to much, just a lot of snuggling under big cozy blankets, hot chocolate, oh and I was able to wear my UGGS! I love them but Aaron hates them, I guess they are called UGGS for a reason, they are kind of UGGly. But I do love them!!
We haven't really taken much pictures lately and I am kind of mad. That is not like us. We will do better this next week.
MMM the best on a cold morning is a nice Vanilla Latte' while listening to Norah Jones.

I really do love that Fall is here. Our house is all decked out in Halloween decor.
MMM we have had yummy taco soup, apple cider and cobbler, some of the most cozy foods.

Oh and how could I forget about my Birthday! It was a good day, my parents took us out to lunch. It was delicious, might I mention that Kneaders pumpkin chocolate chip cake is a little piece of heaven. Oh and I had my first taste of fall, Kneaders pumpkin bread, so good. We made late night french toast with it. MMM amazing.

It was kind of a bummer that Aaron had to work that night but I guess it is all being part of a grown up :) Yeah I have a hate/love relationship of growing up! No worries, he is a wonderful hubby and came home early. We also have the weekend to celebrate. Dont forget I have a "Birthday Week" that ends Sunday :)

What have we been up to? Well if you take one look at Burrows it doesn't look like much. This is what Burrows has been up to and I don't see his schedule changing anytime soon.

I have been doing a couple projects {posts soon to come} I have about 6 that I am doing right now. I did finish a few headbands. They turned out so cute and they are so easy to make. My modeling skills aren't that bad either! LOL

Circus
As of Sunday it was the first day of my birthday week. :) So we jump started it off with going to the Circus. When I was a little we would go all of the time and we hadn't gone in forever. I am pretty sure this a start of an old tradition. The Circus was amazing. So much fun!

After the show we were able to go and see all of the animals. The tigers were fun to watch and they were so playful.

So that is what we have been up to. But don't worry more is sure to come I still have 6 more days of my birthday week :)

Outline via Milestones

Aaron and I always say, "Do you ever wonder if we ever crossed paths before we met?" That is a thought that always seems to revisit our conversations. It is something to think about. Did we ever walk by each other at a grocery store? or Did we ever pass glances at the carnival? or even "If I saw you, what did I think?"
We always wonder.

We may always wonder but I also love the way we did meet.
There is nothing like seeing a young Mr. Turner for the first time in church. {Only in Utah :)} Oh how I liked him! The sad thing is young Mr. Turner was not fond of me at all! Yes, I was the annoying 16 year old girl with a crush and he acted like the 17 year old boy who hated it but I know he secretly loved all of the attention. I do recall making all of the big moves. It was me that hinted to Aaron I was turning 16 and was waiting for my first date, it was me who braved up the courage to call him and ask for rides to school, and I am glad I did those rides to school started out as awkward 30 min of our day to thank you for traffic, that means 10 more minutes. Oh how we came to love those rides to school.

I love how fun the first year of dating is. I love that everything is a first. I loved our first year of dating.
I also love that while slow dancing to "Faithfully" by Journey at Homecoming Aaron knew at that moment he was going to marry me. I love that we are high school sweethearts.

Holidays are absolutely the best. We love spending time together but even more we love dressing up together for Halloween, decorating our Christmas Tree together, even more so I love receiving flowers on Valentines Day :). There is noting better than a holiday with loved ones.

Camping is defiantly a vacation but it is defiantly a different kind of vacation. I guess it is kind of funny to think bug infested, dirty hard as a rock beds, pooping in a hole, and ashy food is an idea of a nice get a way vacation. In some strange way those ingredients to a camping recipe is what makes it delicious.

Now the beach is a vacation I could take any day. I can't believe it took me to age 20 before I finally shook hands with those crazy waves. I honestly could never get enough of the beach. Oh and might I mention it also took me that long to become a kid again in Disneyland.
Vacations are amazing and they are even more so when Aaron and I share them together. Oh the vacation adventures we have shared.

Now there is also those special moments, moments that only happen once in a lifetime. Such as a first kiss, first time you say "I Love You", the first time you meet the future-in-laws. :) Yes alot of them are FIRSTS. But I only plan on having one proposal. Oh and it was perfect. As far as milestones go, we have had plenty of them. Thank heavens for the more less milestones that fill in the gaps. Such as our yearly visits to Thanksgiving Point, Gardens. We have been going to there for about 6 years now and it seems we never get bored of it. On the other hand we only need a once a year visit to remind us of its beauty. :) But it is hard to stay away from their amazing cafe' with heavens sweet nectar of raspberrie lemonade

Fall Has Arrived

I hate bugs, I hate anything with 4-8 legs that crawls or hops. So when I was walking out on our deck and I was greeted by this beetle by the handle. You can understand why I freaked out.

I am so in love with Fall. I love the fact that Fall has arrived at our doorstep. The air is much more crisp and cool. I love that the leaves are starting to change. I love the holidays that are soon to come. Oh how I love fall.

We decided it was time to visit the canyon again. I can't believe we have only been up there twice this whole summer. Now that summer has come and gone, we have to visit a couple more times before the winter comes.

The Canyon was so beautiful. The leaves are starting to change and the air is so fresh and clean. I love the canyon especially in the Fall.

Time Will Change All

7 months has gone way super fast. On Saturday Aaron and I had our 7 month anniversary. The time has flown by I can't believe it. We are still loving being married, but I think this picture sums up how we feel about each other every once in a while. . . :)

We really do love being married so much. All the little moments we have together add up to be priceless. I have been telling Aaron a year ago I never would of guess we would be where we are at today. So much has changed, we are married, we have a cat, I have a different job, family lives in a different state, we love staying home vs. not going out all the time, we have family come over and hang out at {our} house all of the time. There is so much more that has changed, I just never would of guessed a year ago this is where I would be. I am so glad though. I am grateful for all of the wonderful changes life has given us. I am also grateful for Aaron and all of the craziness he puts up with :) I love my hot hubby and we love being married.

I can not believe that it has been 10 years since 9/11. To think 10 years ago I was driving to elementary school listening to 101.9 the end and hearing Chunga and Mr. talk about the 1st tower being hit and not even knowing what they where talking about. I honestly had no idea what was going on or what that meant and how much this would change the world. I can remember seeing adults sad and scared. I remember being scared and not knowing what was going to happen next.
I have been lucky enough to be able to go back to ground zero a couple of times and I am telling you there is a certain calmness and reverence all around right in the middle of NYC.
Watching videos and seeing pictures yesterday brings so much sad and heart-breaking emotions but to think how united this country has become, because of it. I am so grateful for all of the men and women who are fighting for our freedom.

There is nothing better than a hand dipped corn dog with fresh cut curly fries from the carnival. I will say it was amazingly delicious. To top it off we had Boston cream style funnel cake. It doesn't get better than that. It is a good thing we only get that meal once a year at the carnival or we would be in trouble :)

Family Adventures

I can only imagine what it is like being little again. I remember everything seemed so much bigger, more exciting and such a thrill. Experiencing everything for the first time, being able to explore for hours. It would be amazing to put on the goggles they see through and see everything for how simple it really is and feel the excitement. I can only image the thrill of feeding animals, petting horses and watching pigs wrestle in one day can bring.

I am so excited to welcome the first day of September. This is my favorite month of the year. Not just because it has the perk of being my birthday month, but is also the welcoming month of Fall.
The leaves start to change and the air becomes more cool and crisp. We start bringing back Apple Pie and Autumn Spice scents to warm your house. I absolutely love Fall fashion. I love the cozy sweaters and cute boots. Fall is by far the best season and it is just around the corner and can't get here fast enough.

Family Is The Best Company

Burrows is home and is claw free. Yay that is so exciting. I was so excited to go pick him up. I felt so bad. He was happy to see us.
The poor little guy is not back to himself yet. He is still recovering. Burrows is so sad, I have never seen the little guy not want to play. All he does is sleep and I mean sleep it is not just a little snooze he is full on deep out cold sleep all day long. He has been taking an easy I guess and resting. Hopefully soon we will have our crazy Burrows back soon.

The Smith are home for a visit and boy do we have a week full of fun planned. We picked them up from the airport Saturday afternoon and it has been non stop laughs and fun ever since.
We defiantly love spending time with family.

Bittersweet

Burrows is off to the vet to be declawed!! I feel like it is bittersweet, I am so stoked for him to not have those sharp claws. It will be so much more fun to play with him and our furniture will also finally be saved, and especially when we have the little ones over, there will be no more tears.
The only reason is bittersweet I guess is because he has to stay overnight. I am freaking out. I know the little guy is just a cat but he is our little baby Burrows.
And the answer to your question is YES I am one of those people now!! I used to make fun of people all of the time for being like that, for talking about there pets as children, but now I am one of them! I look at our pet as a little child of ours. Oh geeze I feel dumb saying it but it is true.
Aaron had to take him alone I don't think that I could of handled it.

Randomness of the Weekend

We were at Ross and Aaron saw this little outfit, it was like $5, I couldn't pass it up. So we bought it, came home and dressed our little Burrows.
He hated it at first he just laid on his back with his arms up in the air. He was under the impression that he couldn't move. It was pretty funny. He finally got used to it. I must say it is so freaking cute on him.

So I have been feeling a little under the weather and we don't have a heating pad and one was much needed this weekend. So I decided to wipe the dust off of my sewing machine and to just make one of my own. It was super easy and way super cheap.
Heating Pad Tutorial
Things needed

Fabric {your choice} 1/2-1 yard
non-cooked white rice 2 bags
sewing machine of course :)
Optional. . . Lavender oil

I started off with cutting 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch squares. You don't have to do squares you can just do one solid print.
If just one solid color, {depending on how big you want your heating pad} cut a 12 x 12 inch piece of fabric. You will need 2 squares of fabric, one for the front and one for the back.

Once squares are cut and sewn together. Sew front and back together,
{pattern sides together facing, so back side of fabric facing out.}
Make sure you leave a 2 inch opening to turn the fabric right side out.
Note: If any extra fabric on the outside edges cut them off before turning right side out

I bought two bags of long grain white rice at the dollar store {love that store}
Note: You will will need more/less rice depending on how big the heating pad you want is.
I added Lavender oil to the rice, to give it that relaxing and calming effect.
You only need like 5 drops {a little goes a long way}
Note: I used a little sandwich bag because I didn't have any large gallon bags so I had to do like 5 little bags full and I added Lavender oil to each bag If you use a large gallon bag then you probably could do all of the rice with like 10-12 drops of Lavender oil.

Once rice and oil were in the plastic bag, we shook it to mix the oil all around

I funneled the rice into the little opening. Now this is where it gets tricky, now we have to close the opening. So make sure you don't fill the pouch super full of rice. Very carefully sew the opening.

You could use fabric glue or hot glue if you don't want to sew it, but I don't know how long it would hold.

Here is the pad all sewn up. It was harder than I thought, I think it was because I added to much rice and I used a zig-zag stitch which didn't make it easy to see where I had to stop and start. I should of used a straight stitch.

Once it is all done then put it in the microwave for about 3 min and enjoy.
You can put it anywhere, the Lavender makes it that much more relaxing

I have really enjoyed blogging alot more since we have gotten married. I love just blogging about everyday life. That is where all of the memories are. I love all of the little memories that help make up the big ones. I love going back and reading blog posts from months ago just to see how much has happened. Life is alway changing and you never know what is going to change next, that is why I love everyday life because you see those changes and new adventures little by little each day.

Weekend
This is how are weekend started off! Not to promising huh?! I am sorry to say this is pretty much what all of my mornings look like. It is bittersweet that I am a morning person. I try so hard to sleep in but I also get first hand images of this every morning. What is not to love?

All ready for the Orem Owlz baseball game

Poor Burrows he is always inside. We only let him outside on our deck. The pigeons outside must know it too. They come right up to the window and torture Burrows. I wish I would of got pictures of the dumb pigeon that came right up and planted his talons into our screen and just gazed in at Burrows. Those dumb birds love our roof and are so noisy. That is an understatement. I keep telling Aaron we need to get a bee bee gun and have some of Burrows little friends disappear.
He was defiantly getting teased over the weekend. All he could do was start out at them.

I can't believe it is almost the middle of August. Before you know it, the leaves are going to start to change and we will have the crisp fall air at our feet. Oh my I can't wait. But for now we are still enjoying the hot summer sun, and boy has it been hot lately.

On a different note I have a new favorite store and it is. . . the D.I. Oh how I love having all of that unwanted treasure at my hands. I am starting to become addicted to reupholstering furniture. Oh it gives you a natural high I swear. Aaron has been enjoying it too. It is fun to do these projects together.

I saved a couple things from there. I am totally in love with this frame, it is going to be a part of a way cute project to come. And of course we had to buy this game, I didn't even know "Jumanji" was a real game. I don't even think it had been played once. It had all of the pieces and in perfect condition.
Well hello $7 total

Here is the lab rat, this is our first project of reupholstering. It is coming along really nice. This is as far as we have come.
We spent a wopping $10 for this lovely piece.

Burrows got a new toy. {Another favorite store, The Dollar Store} He loves it and becomes a Gymnastics Olympian when he plays with it. I couldn't get any action shots with him flipping in the air but I did get these of our flying cat. Or so it would appear.

We went over to check on Aaron's parents house and cat while they were out of town and just so happened to get out all of the old pictures. We had quite a few laughs pulling these out.

Weekend Hangover

It seems I have a case of the Mondays. I am hesitant to let the weekend go. I love having days off, especially with Aaron. But I suppose it is back to the work week, with hopes of what the next weekend will bring.
What a weekend, we didn't do much. There was a lot of watching Heroes and Pawn Stars and a little bit of grocery shopping, swimming a mad game of War. We did how ever do some loving on yummy food. Are kitchen is proof of that.

You can always tell how good our weekend was by the looks of our kitchen Monday morning

My word I can't believe it is August 1st. Where has the summer gone? I love the summer but I am defiantly getting excited for Fall.

Work, work, work. That is how this week has been it seems like. The thing with work, it makes the week go by my faster. So all I can say is yay for the weekend!

The good news is the 2nd attempt to our sushi adventure was much more successful. We created salmon with avocado with cream cheese and it was much better, it was still "homemade sushi" but it was much better.

Oh what a weekend. Aaron and I enjoyed a nice 3 day weekend together. It was quite a relaxing, do what you want kind of weekend. Personally those are the best kind. No schedule, don't have to be anywhere at a specific time. Just kind of go at your own pace. I love it. Yeah that sounds kind of lazy but we are not going to use that word, even though that is exactly what it is, We are going to say relaxing once again. :)

We spent a lot of our time at the pool, did the same old, same old grocery shopping. Oh and I can't forget my new addiction to Heroes.

We also had an interesting experience make sushi. It was way fun but talk about a challenge. Aaron just kept saying over and over. Boy do I give those guys props who do this. We made some with Salmon and I think it could be good but and that is a very big but. . . we need to add a lot more to it, like cream cheese and avocado or something. I do not know what we were thinking doing just plain Salmon.
Next we made sushi with spam and eggs. Now that wasn't to bad. That might sound a little weird but it is very yummy. It is a very popular dish with Hawaiians. As fun as making sushi was, Aaron also mentioned that he almost ruined sushi for himself, and I agree. So I think we are going to leave that talent to the sushi chefs. :)

Oh how I love days off! I love the days but when it comes to the night, it is kind of a bummer when Aaron works. Burrows and I have our own adventures though and tonight we are doing nothing but being lazy! Well I would like to put it as some much needed {relaxing}
We have spent the night watching Teen Mom, blog stalking and getting ideas for fall home decor, oh I can't wait.
Burrows decided to just pass out while I was doing all of this.

Once again another summer week has gone.

I come in the living room from doing laundry and I see this little rat stuck at the top of the window.

On Marriage

My oh my where does the time go?! I can not believe that Aaron and I have been married for 5 months now. That is crazy, I swear it was just yesterday.
That was hands down the most exciting day of our lives so far! We were so happy.

Oh and don't worry we still are. Marriage has been very good to us. We absolutely love being married. I love waking up every morning by Aaron's side, I love our dancing we do in front of the mirror together, I love the meals we cook and eat together. Oh I love it all and so much more.
Some of it has been hard. It is true what they say you don't know someone until you live with them. I swear if Aaron leaves the lid off of the toothpaste one more time I might lose it :) No it has not been that bad. We have had our bad days but we have had so much more wonderful days to outweigh them.
I think marriage has forced us to grow up in a good way. I know that I have learned a lot about Aaron and myself. Oh and I know there is plenty more to learn. We are truly loving it and always wonder what took us so long to tie the knot! :)
I know I say 5 months seems crazy but I swear the longer we are married the more our lives change.
I look forward to the 80 more years to come!

I love the everything about the canyon. I love the smell, the sounds, the fresh cool air, the smell of campfire burning. I love it all.

I can't believe we are just barely going to the canyon and it is almost the middle of July. My word this summer has flew by.

We has a blast up at the canyon, Mmmm there is something about campfire hotdogs that you just can't top, and there is no other place to make smores.

Once we were home from the canyon, we were just hanging out and Aaron was teasing Burrows with a glow stick and he put it on him. He was playing with it and we didnt' think anything of it. A little bit later when Aaron went in our room to change he saw Burrows in there, and the poor little guy was foaming at the mouth. Panic took over Aaron, I have never seen him panic like that. The little guy was weezing like no other.

So we rushed him into the tub and rinsed his mouth off over and over. While Aaron was doing that I called the Emergency Vet and they told us that he should be ok if we got it all out of his mouth and just to watch him. They said that glow sticks are non-toxic and if he starts acting funny to bring him in. Oh my word talk about a scare! So we watched him the rest of the night and he was ok. He ate his snacks and drank some milk. The poor little guy was so tuckered out all night, he had quite the scare.

We felt so bad especially Aaron. The little guy is doing fine this morning he is acting him self, being a crazy little thing running around super playful. We are so glad.

My word I can't believe it is Friday again. This week has gone by so fast! I wish I could say something exciting happened but nope just a mediocre week we had.

Burrows and I have such great adventures when Aaron is at work. He is the funniest thing, he loves to catch flys. He is very good at it to. I didn't realize how fast he was but we don't need a fly swatter, we just use him! :) He catches them, makes sure they are dead and then oh course he eats them.

Garrett Mangelson Fundraiser

The most heartbreaking story.

My sister is in color guard and the band instructor's little 2 year old boy died suddenly on Wednesday. So on Saturday the band did a fundraiser at the Lehi Macys to raise money for the funeral.

It was crazy how many people were there. They had hot dogs, chips, drinks, face painting and my mom donated things from Kencraft to sell as well.

The turn out was amazing!! They raised $6,000 in 5 hours. It is so great how a community comes together in times of need. Way to go guys!

I defiantly have dealt with life and all of its changes. I am so proud to say that it has been Aaron that has been there with me to get me through it. I don't' know where I would be with out him? Aaron has never let me down, he has always been there when needed, he has always cheered me up at the best times and comforted me at the worst. I was so lucky to be able to marry my best friend! He is the best HOT hubby around!
We have been through so many situations and emotions with together. There has been anger, sadness, happiness, joy, gratitude, silliness, death, birth, weddings, and so much more. But he has been there through it all.
We have grown up so much along side each other as well. My word I have know him since I was in 9th grade. I can't believe that I have know him for about 6-7 years now.I never realized how fast time does go by. I will never forget those rides to high school with him. Making a complete fool of myself with my ridiculous flirting everyday in the front seat. :)

Fathers Day is a lot different for me now that I am married and not living at home. I find myself getting home sick every once in a while. I have realized that I appreciate my parents much, much more now that I am out of the house. As crazy as my family is, I see now how much I took advantage of having them around all of the time.

The weather outside is very rainy and cold today and it makes me want to get in a blanket and snuggle up and watch The Goonies. I would always watch that with my dad on days like this. I remember always watching movies with him, when I was little he would always watch

The Little Mermaid and Beauty and The Beast with me.

We would do a lot of different things together, I remember we would always go out shooting, even when I was little, we would go on hikes for hours and bring the guns and shoot anything and everything.

I am very grateful for my dad! He is a very hard worker I see that now and all that he does for my family. He is for sure one of a kind :) everyone who knows him would back me up on that! But no matter how crazy he gets Aaron is now realizing that I am just like him! Aaron thought once we were married it would be so nice to be on our own away from our parents but poor Aaron feels like he is living with my dad sometimes. I couldn't be more proud though. :)

Us being so much alike though didn't always mean we got along. I must be so much like him and more because I always remembering getting my way and winning those arguments. :) I am not going to say I am super close with my dad because I am not. Over the years we have grown apart. But now being married and being out of the house I am realizing the importance of that relationship. I am so very grateful to have a dad like mine. I love you very much!

Have to love a good nights sleep, but I also love waking up in the mornings at a decent time. I hate sleeping in to like 11, 11:30. We used to do that all of the time when we were first married but now we wake up at 8, 8:30 and I love it. I love having my mornings to do stuff and to get stuff done.

So we spend our last day with the Smith Family going to the Zoo. There finally was a break from the rain so we took advantage. The Zoo was packed! I think everyone had the same idea. Paetyn loved all of the animals.

What a wonderful day it was to be married!!! Oh the groom was handsome and the bride was beautiful! I love weddings! It brought back so many memories of our wedding, I know it was only 3 months ago but it seems so long ago.

Ryan and Carlee are so perfect for each other. They compliment each other so well. We are so happy for them. It will be so much fun this summer, pretty much being neighbors with them. So many fun nights a head of us!

I am loving this warm weather, I am loving cute summer clothes and I am loving spending time with the family. We had a lot of family time this Saturday, it was the brides shower, and then we showed off our skills at the bowling alley. So much fun.

So I was finally was introduced to Michael Jackson The Experience, and I must say that it is so much fun! We got together with Aaron's family for Chase's birthday and had a bit of a dance party. What a blast really!

Weekend

We had so much fun with Paetyn this weekend. She stayed with us for a couple nights, to give mommy and daddy some alone time with new baby Ashton. We had fun playing and teaching her new things, like what a piggy says and butterfly kisses. It is so amazing how smart a person, so little can be.

She is the cutest thing, I love dressing her and making bows, it is so much fun. I will admit I did not enjoy the poopy diapers and waking up at 7am so much. I do not think Aaron and I have seen that time a day in so long.

She had fun with Burrows, at first she was super skid-dish with him, but it did not take her long to warm up. She loved giving him his toys and watching him play with them.

While we were grocery shopping I saw these glow sticks and thought that they might be fun. I was right they were so fun, Paetyn loved them and they made out for cool pictures.

No worries we enjoyed them too :)

This picture represent mine and Aaron's first summer together. That by far was the best summer! We were still in the honeymoon stage of our relationship. We didn't have to worry about work or bills or money. We were free to do what ever we wanted. I loved everything about that summer! We were so young. What I wouldn't give to be that young and careless.

I also love where we are at now. I remember I thought back then that we would be getting married soon, my word I am so glad we didn't there is no way we would of made and if we did it would be extremely hard.

I feel so old talking about the old days :) But the summer of 06' was by far one of my favorite memories.

Baby Hungry

Seeing as I have mentioned this in my last 2 post, and my last two post have been about sweet little babies. I must say that I am baby hungry for sure as well as Aaron but just a little bit.

On April fools I pulled a little prank on Aaron. I had him going all morning telling him how nauseous I was feeling and stuff like that. I had him thinking I could be prego. We went out to sushi later that day and I told him the smell was making me super sick. {That made him think, seeing as I love sushi} So after that we decided that when we got to Ryan and Alyse's house that I would take a pregnancy test, and we would have our answer for sure. The first thing Aaron said when we got there was "Ok do you have that test, lets get this done and over with" He was anxious! So I went into the bathroom for 5 min. Little did Aaron know before we got there Alyse had already peed on the stick for me {Alyse was pregnant} so the result already said positive. At this point I was dying, it was killing me and I was also a little nervous, don't ask me why but I was. I came out with the test facing down and I told Aaron to look first because I was so nervous. So he turned it over with a smile on his face and once he saw those words "PREGNANT" That smile faded off into a face of shock, {I wish I had taken a picture} Aaron grabbed his head and took a few steps back. He was in a complete state of shock. I couldn't hold in the laughter I about died. I bursted out laughing and his poor face looked at me like "Why are you laughing, this is serious" I might of ruined it a little to soon but I could not help myself. He finally figured it out. I felt bad because he was a little disappointed, which is so sweet because even though the whole time I knew it was a scam so was I.

So now with a new baby in the family and after this we both are getting a little baby hungry. No worries it will pass. :)

Baby Ashton

Little Ashton was born on Saturday April 2nd. He is so sweet and tiny.

I love holding new babies, I love the way they smell and how little everything is with them, little feet, little nose, little bum I love it all.

This is a good way to jump start me being baby hungry for sure!

Still not use to being {Aunt Jess} but I love it

Cant wait for those babes, if they look anything like this hottie we will have nothing to worry about :)

I would have to say I have been the closest with my mom the longest. I am not as close as I used to be, but I think being married and out of the house I am slowly getting back to that point.

I remember I used to tell my mom everything. After every date I had with Aaron I would go into her room and wake her up and tell her all about it. Poor Aaron had no idea she knew everything LOL. She new about the first kiss, 5 min after it happened. She knew about the first time Aaron said "I Love You", 5 min after it happened. You have got to love being of lovestruck teenager, how could you not tell you mom everything. Not only would I talk about stuff with Aaron but also with everything else.

Sleepover

We had a fun little sleepover with Paetyn. We told Alyse and Ryan that we would take her for the night, seeing as they don't have many left before Alyse has Ashton.

I thought it would be good birth control for us, but I think it did the opposite. :) Paetyn was super good for us! We did not see that one coming.

No worries though we have a while, even though she was a doll we are still way to selfish and seeing as it is only a month into our marriage I believe we have some time :)

Day Off

Aaron and I both have Sundays off, I love days off especially when Aaron and I get to spend all day together.

It is oh so fun, we enjoyed a very good lunch at Chilis, I am pretty sure that is our favorite restaurant! You can never go wrong with Chilis :)

For the last couple of days it has started to feel like spring!! Today was so super nice, we had to take advantage of it.

We went to visit Alyse, Ryan and Paetyn.

Poor little Paetyn is sick with an ear infection, Aaron and I could not believe our eyes when we saw her she is so BIG! We haven't seen them in two weeks and it seems like she is so much older, it is crazy how much little ones grow in a short amount of time.

We decided to go to the "Wood Park"

The weather was so nice today, we had no choice. :)

Aaron and I have not been there for ever, that park is so much fun not matter how old you are.

Burrows

So Aaron decided for our one month anniversary he would surprise me with a kitty. I came home from work

{thinking Aaron was at work and that he would not be home for at least 4 more hours}

I opened the door and there he was holding a precious little kitten with a blue bow around his neck

I have such a sweet husband!

This is Burrows, he is the sweetest little kitty. He is just a little fur ball, he loves to snuggle

{we always hold him like a baby and he just lays there and falls asleep}

He always follows Aaron around the house, he always has to be in the same room as us, even if he is fast asleep

He likes to play and chase his little ball

He loves to sleep on the side of our fridge

Aaron and I have Netflix and one of the shows on there is Prison Break and might I say we are in love with that show!

We started watching it on our honeymoon and it is our secret obsession.

One of the characters on the show is "Lincoln Burrows" and that is were our sweet kitty got his name from

Not to bad though right?! Who wouldn't want to be named after him? :D

Bar Stools Reupholstered

We were given these bar stools by my aunt and uncle. They were still in very good condition, but the cushions had some stains and they weren't the cutest color. So I decided to reupholster them!

It was my first reupholstering I have done. It was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be

Here are the bar stools before:

All I did was cover right over the original fabric, but before I did that I put 2 extra layers of batting for some extra cushion.

I found the cutest fabric at Joans. You should only need 3/4 - 1 yard of fabric, depending on how big the bar stools are.

All you have to do is first cover the seat with the batting pull it nice and tight then staple it to the bottom of the seat. Then do the same with the fabric, pull it nice and tight and then staple it to the bottom of the seat. It is was super easy and can be done in a half hour.

They turned out so great. I love them.

Honeymoon

Yay For Honeymoons

They are amazing, we absolutely loved ours! Las Vegas was so much fun! The weather was so nice, the food was amazing! We had so much fun shopping, I swear we walked at least 10 miles while we were there. We were so exhausted at night from walking, we wore ourselves out.

Everyone told us to take a ton of pictures, so that is exactly what we did!

St. George Hotel Room

I have to admit our hotel room in St. George was a not so great motel room. I had no idea that it was a motel until we arrived. It made me laugh, the look of the bed, the little TV and the fact that we heard every word the people in the next room said LOL

But we loved it! We shopped and ate ice cream, everything was great. Funny memories to look back on.

We had so much fun at the wax museum! It was so much fun getting pictures with all of the people. We got pictures with a ton of different people and these pictures are only half of what we got. :)

The Venetian

Aaron and I rode on a Gondola for Valentines Day, and while we were waiting we bought chocolate covered strawberries. They were so good, we had fun feeding them to each other. Oh so romantic!

Caesars Palace

We love Caesars Palace there is shopping and shopping and a lot more of shopping. Go to love my favorite H & M. I love this store!

We also had a fabulous Valentine Day dinner at the Cheesecake Factory

So now I know why newlyweds get chubby, I swear all we did was eat on the trip!

We had fun ordering room service, it is so much fun, and it was amazing food!

Hash House a Go Go

My grandparents told us about this place and said we had to go and get waffles and fried chicken, so we did. Now this is waffles and chicken served together on the same plate and it was amazing. The food servings were huge, good thing we went hungry!

Bass Pro Shop

Yes we went to a Bass Pro Shop while on our honeymoon while in Vegas LOL. It was huge and amazing. They had fish everywhere and cool animal displays. They also had a huge salt water tank with scuba divers it was way neat.

It totally beat out Cabellas 110%

The Flamingo

We stayed at the Flamingo, it is a nice hotel they had tons of animals and birds in the back including . . . Flamingos :)

Mandalay Bay

We went to the aquarium and saw all of the animals. It is the shark aquarium and the had some cool fish.

You will have to ask Aaron about the one finger story it is hilarious!

We Are Married!!!!

We did it we are finally married! The wedding was perfect, Aaron was perfect, I felt perfect, everything was perfect!

Bridal Shower

I can not believe how much I received for my bridal shower. I got spoiled. I am very lucky to have such a great turn out.

It was so much fun to bring everything home and put everything away and set up everything.

I got such a variety everything from kitchen stuff to fun naughty bedroom stuff ;)

Ashlee and Amber helped me make the cupcakes and mints the night before. It was so much fun. My mom also helped out a lot as well as Alyse, Mindy, Ruby, Courtney and Donna. Thanks guys couldn't of done it with out you :)

Finally Catching Back Up With Life

My oh my has it been a while! So much has happened in the past two months. It seems like ever since we got engaged our lives have taken a 180. To begin I have a new job, Aaron and I are moved out, and so much more.

One of the main things is Aaron growing out his hair, he is going through a Bret Michaels stage.

. . . . . Just Kidding :)

Wedding stuff is so much fun to plan, and then on the other hand I can not wait for the wedding to just be over and to be married already. I can not believe we have just 15 more days!

Well where to begin, the last place I left off was Thanksgiving. It was a good one, we were able to have a Thanksgiving meal with both families. I love Thanksgiving it is probably one of my favorite holidays. It was kind of weird to think of it as my last Thanksgiving at home.

After Thanksgiving we had our engagement pictures, must I say that I love getting pictures taken. You can see them here.

We love Brody Dezember, our photographer. He is amazing!

This was the first time I saw are names together, it was on our photography contract. I looks so weird :) but I also love it

Christmas

Then came Christmas, I must say it was kind of sad knowing it would be my last Christmas at home as well. It was a good Christmas though, got to love house stuff. It is so funny how the types of things you get for Christmas change at different stages of your life. I will miss the clothes stage :)

This was our little Christmas tree, we did not have time to put up our big one. It was so cute.

New Years Eve

This new years eve was so much fun, we went up to a cabin in Ogden. It was a nice little getaway. We all stayed up until midnight, even Paetyn.

We also had our "Groomals" and they turned out amazing. I must say in all but one bor two pictures you can tell how freezing we were {especially me.} Once again we love Brody!

We have just been super busy, it seems like there is so much going on. We are super excited to finally be married.

And So The Story Was Told . . . . .

We are engaged!!!! It is finally here and official!! After 4 years of dating it is about time, right?!

On Nov 20th the plan was to go out to dinner to the Gateway with all of Aaron's siblings. We were the first to arrive so we put our names down on the list at Happy Sumo.

{Now you must know that it was so rainy and windy and cold! Poor Aaron had not planned on such yucky weather.}

Once our names were down Aaron asked me if I wanted to walk around and shop a little while. Thinking I would say yes, so he could get me down to the fountain where everything was lit up with lights and the water was going and it being so beautiful down there. I said NO :)

{Little did I know everyone was waiting down there hidden, ready to take pictures of the wonderful moment, FYI we were on the total opposite side of the Gateway}

Finally Aaron convinced me to walk around a little bit so we headed down to the fountains. I was miserable, it was raining and cold my hair was getting wet.

YES I was being a little bit of a drama queen

So Aaron gave me his coat to wear because it had a hood.

I was still freezing and not going for it :)

Once Aaron realized he wasn't getting me any further he decided to just forget the fountain and proposed right there. Realizing I was wearing his coat {which is where the ring was} He unzipped his front pocket and pulled out the ring

I was so surprised! I made a gasp and he knelt down on one knee and told me he loved me and asked me if I loved him and if would do something for him. He asked if I would make him the happiest man in the world. Of course all of my answers were yes and then he asked the big one, Will You Marry Me?

It was wet and cold, I was freezing but it was perfect! I would not change a thing!

Halloween Crafts

So I got together with Aaron's sisters, mom and Carlee, and we had a craft day. It was so much fun and such a good idea. I made Halloween "Boo" blocks, they turned out so sticking cute! I love them. I cant wait to make more for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Alyse and Ruby made a candy corn wreath {super cute!} Mindy made pumpkin bats {way cute} and Carlee was there to help and make cookies :)

It was so much fun but I didn't realize how tiring crafts make you. I love crafts and it was nice to take a break from sewing and to do more crafty things.

Here is my supplies needed. It is really inexpensive which is one of the best parts.

Supply List:

Desired paper
Stickers/what you want to decorate with
Ribbon
Hot glue gun
Mod Podge
Desired sized wood blocks {best thing to do is go to Home Depot and look in the scap bins, find yourself a piece of wood. decide what size,my blocks are 4X3.5X1.5. They will cut the wood there for you.} Price = $0.54
Letter stamps and craft paint{or you can use vinyl lettering}
Sandpaper

I cut the scapbook paper to the right sizes
Then I Mod Podged the paper onto the wood. { I put paper on everything except the bottom}

The blocks should start looking like this, here is side #1 of the block

3. Once the paper was all on I sanded the edges of the paper to distress and antique the blocks

4. Then I decorated the blocks how I wanted. {There are so many things you can do to decorated, NO LIMITS}

Well that is not quite true. LOL But it is true I am 21 now. Geeze I never thought this day would come. I remember thinking when I was little that being 21 seemed so far away and so old. Well I am here now :)

P.S. I never thought my 21st picture on my driver license would be with braces!

It was quite a birthday and so much fun. I had to work on my birthday but that was quite alright. Aaron brought me Cafe Rio for lunch and flowers. My parents also got me flowers and we had root beer floats at work. { they were so good, my favorite} I figured now being 21 since I couldn't drink real beer at work that root beer would have to do :)

Ashlee, Jason, Austin & Lincoln also came up to work. They brought me balloons and had root beer floats

Wendover

Aaron turned 21 in May and my parents told us that when I turned 21 that they would take us to Wendover. So the day after my birthday we headed to Wendover.

It was a lot of fun. We had fun gambling, needless to say we didn't come home millionaires. It was a nice little trip.

A Taste of Parenthood

Aaron and I had our "little taste of parenthood" this weekend. We babysat Paetyn from Friday morning til Monday night, and oh boy I do not even know where to start! Being a parents is a job in and of its self. We learned alot.

Paetyn is a good baby so it was not that hard to handle. We had so much fun with her. By the end of the weekend she had Aaron wrapped around her little finger. He just melts when it comes to her. I think it made him a little baby hungry. LOL

P.S. This might be a little bit of a picture overload, but I still think I should of taken more

We had fun taking her to The Gardens. It was such a nice day

She loved the Koi Fish, she kept just starting at them

One of the things we learned it that Aaron is immune to hearing babies in the morning. I got up with her every morning at 7. :) Really though I didn't mind. Wouldn't you love to start your morning out with that face!

I loved dressing Paetyn everyday. I made a bow for each outfit I put her in.
